In 1986, David Burke founded Slangman, Inc., (including Slangman Publishing and Slangman Kids) a publishing company specializing in materials on slang and idioms, in addition to foreign language education. David has appeared on more than 250 national and international radio and television programs helping parents to understand their teens. David was also a commentator during several Academy Awards broadcasts for the BBC's Five Live (a program broadcasting to 7 million people throughout the United Kingdom) to speak about slang used in American movies and TV shows. Currently, David has pooled all his talents together to create Slangman's World, a children's TV show, which introduces children ages 3+ to the world of foreign languages and cultures, as well as popular American expressions in an environment of music, puppetry, animation, and magic. --Editorial Review.
